It's a Mummy Day!

Today the boys and I spent the first half of the day hanging around the house in our jammies - eating, cleaning, playing etc. Not a lot planned for the day - good to just be.

We just got back from the shops - Mike and I are going to The Nutcracker Ball at the Kettering Tower tonight and I wanted to get some earrings and a purse for tonight. It should be a fun evening. The kids will spend the night with Mike's parents so they're bound to have a fun evening too.

It's been a busy week at work with a few more challenges than usual - some of the more tricky interpersonal and political nature - seems almost like an episode of Survivor at the moment! There is so much more enjoyment in working with people who are cooperative, collaborative, positive and enthusiastic. It's a shame what happens when people become scared, defensive and territorial - it has such a negative, counter-productive effect on results. What fascinates me about is just how important it is to spend time managing relationships with colleagues - you never know what is happening in their world and when or how it'll impact yours. Posted by Picasa
